David A. Lynd is the newest member of Waccamaw Bank’s Mortgage Department. Mr. Lynd will work as the loan officer and will be primarily responsible for generating mortgage loans for the Southport and Wilmington areas. Mr. Lynd has been in the mortgage industry for the last five years, as a branch manager and loan officer in the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area. Prior to entering the mortgage industry, Mr. Lynd practiced law with a firm in Towson, Maryland judicial system and lobbied legislators in the Maryland General Assembly. His most notable clients included the Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers, the Maryland Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, the Maryland Optometric Association and the Maryland Association of Bail Bondsmen. Mr. Lynd is a member of the Maryland Bar association and received his law degree form the Baltimore School of Law in 2000. Mr. Lynd is also a graduate of Virginia Tech and a native of Northern Virginia.
